In this three part series, award winning actor Joseph Fiennes and his cousin, legendary explorer Ranulph Fiennes, embark on an odyssey following the course of the Nile.
Considered the “greatest living explorer” Sir Ranulph Fiennes, returns to the scene of one of his earliest feats, his 1969 expedition along the River Nile. To mark the 50th anniversary of that quest, Sir Ranulph sets himself a new challenge: to teach his famous cousin how to master the role of a lifetime.
The series follows Ranulph and Joseph as they navigate the claustrophobic confines of a newly discovered ancient Egyptian tomb in Minya. They grapple with a traditional fighting technique using four-foot sticks and come face to face with dangerous snakes and spiders. They also have the unique opportunity to spend the night in the Pyramid of Cheops.
